The Prendiville Group owns and operates numerous iconic tourism, hospitality and entertainment facilities. Represented in a host of different environments, from the red earth mining centre of Karratha, to the lush vineyards of the South West, to the blue waters and white beaches of Rottnest Island, and the rich port heritage of Fremantle.
Samphire Rottnest, located on the premiere tourist destination Rottnest Island, hosts 80 suites, pools, unique dining options, and a range of indoor/outdoor function spaces, overlooking breathtaking views of Thomson Bay. We are entering a new and exciting era and are looking forward to building our team in support of this.

The Role
The Finance and Administration Officer is responsible for supporting the financial operations of our venues by performing a variety of accounting, administrative and support tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, lateral thinking, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
This role would suit a junior accounts professional looking to take the next step in their career, or an experienced office administrator looking for a sea-change - whilst working on one of the dreamiest locations in Australia.
This role would work across all of our Rottnest Island properties: Samphire Rottnest, Lontara, Hotel Rottnest, and ISOLA

Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable, process invoices, payments and receipts while maintaining accurate records.
- Perform daily reconciliation of venue cash drawers, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Supporting month-end reporting and reconciliations.
- Reconcile accounts, bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Support in the onboarding of new employees and conducting employee audits.
- Support Head Office team with adhoc tasks.
About You
- Minimum of 2 years office admin/accounts admin experience
- Adaptable, Strong Interpersonal Skills, ability to multi-task
- Comprehensive knowledge of account & office operations.
- Ability to work well under pressure – remaining calm & collected.
- Strong stakeholder relations and enthusiasm to support your team.
- Strong written & verbal communication.
- Working knowledge of IntelliHR, Human Force or other payroll/accounts systems – desirable
