The Leea Resort Darwin, formerly Travelodge Darwin, is embarking on an exciting transformation under the Prendiville Group, a proudly West Australian, family-owned company renowned for its exceptional hospitality venues. With 136 hotel rooms, 32 townhouses, and expansive function spaces, we are set to redefine dining experiences and establish The Leea Hotel as one of Darwin's prominent destinations.
 
We have an opportunity for a focused and forward-thinking Business Development Executive who loves developing client relationships with the ability to implement strategies to enhance the hotels market position and customer base, focusing on corporate, government and leisure groups.
 
In this role you will be working closely the General Manager and responsible for providing high levels of customer service across multiple market segments and industries to actively secure new business and deliver on revenue opportunities for the property.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase hotel sales and revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and potential partnerships.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with corporate and group clients.
 Requirements:
  • Previous experience in the hotel and hospitality industry (essential).
  • Love of networking and building meaningful relationships as a hotel brand ambassador.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks and be a self-starter.
  • Providing high levels of customer service for you to actively drive growth.
  • Competent mindset with Microsoft Office and any hotel or hospitality-based programs (such as Sabre, Lanyon & Salesforce).
