Perched above the stunning Roebuck Bay in Broome, The Mangrove Hotel is home to two flagship dining venues adored by visitors and locals alike. Our hotel’s flagship restaurant, Johnny Sausage, is a Top 100 Food Restaurant nominee serving up authentic Italian cucina, serving breakfast daily and dinner Wednesday – Saturday. With an irresistible menu and cheeky personality, this vibrant venue is a celebration of Italy’s rich tapestry of flavours and has become a local favourite.

The Mangrove Hotel is also home to The Bay Club, our sun-soaked outdoor restaurant and bar that overlooks Roebuck Bay. Rated by guests and locals alike as one of the best places to eat in Broome, guests look forward to enjoying live music, refreshing cocktails and sample of the Kimberley’s best produce as they lounge in day beds, curl-up in cabanas, or gather for festivities together around a dining table.
 
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Conference and Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of our events and ensure their success.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and execute conferences, meetings, and events from conception to completion.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and event logistics to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand and meet event objectives.
  • Source and negotiate contracts with venues, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote events and ensure maximum attendance.
  • Supervise on-site event operations, including set-up, execution, and breakdown.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Ensure all events comply with health, safety, and legal requirements.
 Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Conference and Events Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, reporting, and financial management.
  • A creative mindset and problem-solving ability.
  • Flexibility to workdays, evening and weekends as required.
