Commis Chef
An exciting opportunity is available for a confident and passionate Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at the Mangrove Hotel. Reporting to the Executive Chef you will assist in the preparation and service of food for our functions and busy restaurant.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with food preparation and production
- Minimising waste and maintaining controls for food cost by preparing and storing food items correctly
- Ensuring that kitchen areas are clean and tidy at the end of service.
- Assisting with the daily requisition of food and equipment items
- Ensuring proper cleanliness and hygiene procedures are maintained at all times.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar qualification, either completed or ongoing.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment would be an advantage
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Impeccable grooming standards
- Strong knowledge of food handling and hygiene principles
- Be flexible & available to work across a roster including weekdays, evenings, weekends & public holidays
