Over the last forty years, this family company has grown from its remote accommodation beginnings, to become the highly regarded organisation behind a broad range of properties with names familiar and dear to many people.
The Prendiville Group owns and operates numerous iconic tourism, hospitality and entertainment facilities. Represented in a host of different environments, from the red earth mining centre of Karratha, to the lush vineyards of the South West, to the blue waters and white beaches of Rottnest Island, and the rich port heritage of Fremantle.
Samphire Rottnest, located on the premiere tourist destination Rottnest Island, hosts 80 suites, pools, unique dining options, and a range of indoor/outdoor function spaces, overlooking breathtaking views of Thomson Bay. We are entering a new and exciting era and are looking forward to building our team in support of this.

The Role
As our Porter, you will become a pivotal piece of the puzzle in providing elevated guest experiences across the hotel. From collecting our guests at the jetty, luggage logistics, and maintaining the cleanliness of the resort – our porter team are the backbone in driving flawless services to guests throughout their stay.
To be successful in this role, you will be energetic in nature, eager to help and support the broader hotel team in providing elevated guest experiences – but most importantly, have the readiness to jump in and assist in the hotels fast paced environment.
This role would suit a junior professional looking to take the next step in their career or an experienced professional looking for a sea change, whilst working on one of the dreamiest locations in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
- Guest and Luggage Transport: Assist guests with luggage and transport to/from rooms or areas.
- Driving and Vehicle Operation: Drive company vehicles, ensuring they are clean and safe.
- Guest Assistance: Answer inquiries, provide information, and assist with special requests.
- Luggage Storage: Organize and secure luggage in the storage area.
- Facility Upkeep: Assist with light maintenance and maintain consistent cleanliness in public areas.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and adhere to traffic laws when driving.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other departments to provide smooth guest service.
- Additional Duties: Assist with other tasks as directed by management.
About You
- Minimum of 2 years customer service and/or hotel experience
- Vibrant, warm, and welcoming
- Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations.
- Ability to work well under pressure – remaining calm & collected.
- Strong customer relations and passion for creating elevated experiences.
- Immaculate presentation and strong written & verbal communication.
- Working knowledge of Guest Centrix or similar Property Management System – desirable
- Working knowledge of Levart or similar channel manager – desirable
