The Mangrove Hotel has established itself as the premier ocean view resort in Broome, Western Australia.
Ideally located on the turquoise shores of Roebuck Bay, just minutes from downtown shopping and famous Cable Beach, Mangrove Hotel is one of the most picturesque places to stay in Broome. The hotel’s beautifully manicured lawns and lush tropical gardens create an idyllic setting against the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean.
 
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Conference and Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of our events and ensure their success.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and execute conferences, meetings, and events from conception to completion.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and event logistics to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand and meet event objectives.
  • Source and negotiate contracts with venues, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote events and ensure maximum attendance.
  • Supervise on-site event operations, including set-up, execution, and breakdown.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Ensure all events comply with health, safety, and legal requirements.
 
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Conference and Events Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, reporting, and financial management.
  • A creative mindset and problem-solving ability.
  • Flexibility to workdays, evening and weekends as required.
